Greenwich Library & Arts Association presents: NEW BEGINNINGS, a group art show to celebrate the new year. The exhibit will be available to view during library hours throughout the month of January, closing Saturday February 3rd. There will be an artist reception on Friday January 19th at 7:00, open to the public.

The artists represented run the gambit when it comes to styles and mediums of visual arts; from paintings to photography, sculpture to pastels. The subjects of the selected pieces are even more diverse than the mediums. Frank Vurraro's paintings are in a classic old-world style, and address religious matters; Cheryl Horning delves into the intricacies of the human face. Landscapes, politics, fantasy and life are addressed diversely through the talents of our neighbors.

Local photographer Cliff Oliver (also a Library volunteer and board member) says, "What’s cool about this show is the genius involved in making the art. They walk among us proclaiming thought, beauty, emotion with colors, shapes, forms . . . art."
